Coastal Maine Bird Studies for Teens, June 14-19, 2026
A one-week student scholarship is available for qualifying teens living in Butler, Lawrence, Mercer or Venango counties to attend the Hog Island Audubon Camp in Bremen, Maine for the Coastal Maine Bird Studies for Teens (Sesson 1), June 14-19, 2026. It is offered to students ages 14-17 at the time of the camp, who have an avid interest in the nature and ecology of the seacoast. The award covers all costs for the camp, which allows young students to work with well-known birders and ornithologists on field identification, bird ecology and conservation. Participants must arrange and pay the cost of transportation.

Sharing Nature: An Educator’s Week, August 9-14, 2026
Hog Island, Bremen, Maine
Bartramian Audubon awards a scholarship each year for an educator (formal or non-formal) within Butler, Mercer, Lawrence and Venango Counties to attend the Sharing Nature: An Educator’s Week session at the Hog Island Audubon Camp in Bremen, Maine. The scholarship is open to teachers of any grade level or subject area or non-formal educators such as an environmental education specialist at a state park or similar educational facility. Participants will explore habitats on Hog Island including tide pools, spruce-fir forest, marshes, bogs and streams. One of the highlights of the week is a full day adventure to Eastern Egg Rock to see the restored puffin and tern colony. The program offers practical approaches, methods, lessons and activities for engaging both children and adults with nature. Participants are inspired through interaction with instructors and fellow educators as they explore the ecosystems of the Maine coast.

A one week student scholarship is available for qualifying teens living in Butler, Lawrence, Mercer or Venango counties to attend the Hog Island Audubon Camp in Bremen, Maine. It is offered to students ages 14-17 who have an avid interest in the nature and ecology of the seacoast.
