Pennsylvania Annual Migration Count
Held on the second Saturday in May, this event is similar to the Christmas Bird Count except on a county basis, rather than a 15-mile diameter circle. Participants go out and identify and count all of the birds they can find on that day (including owling at night if so inclined). www.pabirds.org
126th National Audubon Christmas Bird Count
December 14th through January 5th
The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is a long standing program of the National Audubon Society, with over 100 years of citizen science involvement. It is an early-winter bird census, where thousands of volunteers across the US, Canada and many countries in the Western Hemisphere, go out over a 24 hour period on one calendar day to count birds. http://www.audubon.org/join-christmas-bird-count

Bartramian Audubon Society Butler Christmas Bird Count (CBC)
The Butler CBC is a 15-mile diameter circle centered just north of Moraine State Park and includes Slippery Rock and Slippery Rock University, Wolf Creek Narrows Natural Area, McConnell’s Mill and Moraine State Parks, and the towns of Portersville, Prospect, Muddy Creek, and Euclid. Bartramian Audubon Society Pleasantville Christmas Bird Count
The Pleasantville CBC circle is centered near the Pithole historic site and includes Oil Creek State Park, Pleasantville, Tionesta, Neilltown, Henry’s Bend, President, and the Allegheny River between State Game Land and West Hickory. Bartramian Audubon Society Grove City Christmas Bird Count
Grove City’s CBC circle is centered at a point south of McClelland Drive, approximately halfway between Butler Pike and Interstate 79. It encompasses Grove City, Mercer, Jackson Center, Volant, and includes State Game Lands 151 and 284.
